Cookies
None. The site stores nothing on your device — no cookies, no local storage, no fingerprinting. That is also why there is no consent banner: under the Dutch Telecommunications Act consent is required for storing or reading data on your device, and this site does neither. That includes the visitor statistics described below, which work without any client-side storage.
What is collected anyway
- Server logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which records the usual technical data of any web request — IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested, the time. This is needed to deliver the page and to defend against attacks and abuse.
- Visitor statistics. Pages carry Cloudflare Web Analytics. It loads a small script from cloudflareinsights.com and reports the page viewed, the referring page, and load timings. It sets no cookies, keeps no identifier on your device, and does not follow you to other websites. The numbers are aggregated and cannot be traced back to an individual. Because Cloudflare already delivers this site, no new party sees your request.
- Email you send me. If you write to the address above, I process what you chose to send in order to reply. Mail is handled by Google Workspace.
Legal basis and retention
Logs and security data rest on legitimate interest — running the site and keeping it available — and are kept only briefly. Correspondence is kept for as long as the conversation and any resulting engagement need it, and for as long as tax law requires where an invoice follows.
Who else sees it
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts and delivers the site. Google handles email. Both may process data outside the European Economic Area under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to admin@pavlorodin.info and I will answer. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
